This unused vintage color linen postcard has held up beautifully, and is in very good condition.  It has sharp details and stunning colors, and measures approximately 3 1/2 x 5 1/2. 

I am unable to state with certainty the exact age of this postcard but, given that it takes a one-cent stamp, is a Curteich-Chicago "C.T. Art-Colortone," and has a linen finish, it was made between 1930 and 1945. 

A little history of the Curteich Linen Era (1930-1945):

New printing processes allowed printing on post cards with high rag content that caused a linen-like finish.  These cards allowed the use of gaudy dyes for coloring.  The firm of Curteich flourished because of its line of linen postcards.  Many important events and scenes in history are documented only by these cards.

This post card is in a 5 x 7 frame.  Please note I have placed it above the mat so those wonderful edges will show.  This frame is ready for hanging, and it also has an easel back for placement on a shelf, desk or tabletop.

Also, please do not write to me pointing out the offensive language on the back of the card.  I had nothing to do with that and, if you have been around vintage items, you know these things will pop up from time to time.  Thank you.
